NARI's Cape Cod Chapter honors Nicole Goldman

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI)'s Cape Cod Chapter honored Nicole Goldman, founder of “g” Green Design Center in Mashpee, with their annual Rookie of the Year Award for her contributions to the leadership of the organization, at their annual meeting, Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich, MA.
NARI Cape Cod recognized Ms. Goldman, who joined the membership of NARI Cape Cod in January 2008, as a real leader in her field for her role in piloting the newly formed Green Team for the chapter. No rookie to the field of green building, Goldman, together with her committee, has produced several membership programs for the group about green building techniques, has presented monthly Green Minute tips for builders, and
organized a study group for NARI's Green Building Certification program which begins February 4th.
Upon receipt of her award, Ms. Goldman thanked the directors and membership and commented that "it is through my involvement with NARI Cape Cod that I can play a significant role in helping to shape the burgeoning green building movement here on the
Cape. I look forward to continuing my work providing professional educational programs to the remodeling industry in our community to integrate the new methods and materials of green building that will help our homes and businesses to be more sustainable and energy-efficient." Ms. Goldman also heads up the Business Innovation Group of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce who has committed their programming this year to presenting information on how business can adapt their practices and services to be more green and eco-friendly.
